As good as the sausage is, including the signature HOT ROD style, which is spicy without using jalapeños, do not leave without handmade banana pudding, succulent ribs, and fall apart brisket. We will be back, and this time with friends in tow!

This is how I remember barbecue joints as I was growing up. These guys didn't spend millions of dollars to make their building look old for Texas Monthly and tourists. They just offer what they have: really good meats served by good people in an unassuming dining room. I like it a lot.
